The story of Bilingual Global Citizens Public Charter School (BGC PCS) began on June 22, 2022, with the registration of Partnership for Infinite Education (PIE) in Maryland. With a mission to provide a bilingual and culturally diverse education, BGC PCS quickly gained momentum, becoming a finalist in the MAPCS Mentorship Cohort in January 2023.
In May 2023, BGC PCS submitted its letter of intent, which was approved in June 2023, marking a significant step forward. The application process continued, with the submission of a full charter school application in January 2024, passing technical review by the end of the month. In March 2024, the BCPS Superintendent recommended the Board of Education approve the school, which it did in April 2024.
One of the school's greatest achievements came in June 2024, when BGC PCS won a $2 million grant from the Maryland Momentum Program, solidifying its financial foundation. With these milestones behind us, we are excited to open our doors in Fall 2025, ready to empower students through bilingual education and global leadership.
