The Special Programs department at BGC PCS offers a comprehensive range of services for students with learning or behavioral disabilities. Each student classified with a learning disability receives an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) developed collaboratively by parents, general education teachers, special education teachers, and the Child Study Team. This ensures that the student receives appropriate program placements and interventions tailored to their specific needs. Our approach prioritizes inclusion, allowing students to participate in general education classes to the fullest extent possible while addressing their individual academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs. Services are provided both within and outside the classroom, ensuring a flexible and supportive learning environment.
